Reported: 5th April 2023

We have recently had a number of calls from members of the public who have received calls from someone pretending to be a police officer from Paddington Station stating that they had arrested someone for using their cards.  They then ask the person to withdraw a substantial amount of money and send someone to collect it from their address.  The Police will never ask anyone for money.  This is an elaborate scam. Please do not send any money to anyone unless you know who they are.  Contact the Police if you have any concerns, either your local officers or via 101.
